. Our newly-formed translate service team is looking to add data engineers to join us in a fun and groundbreaking environment solving a challenging set of language problems. You will work with some of the smartest people in the field to learn more about natural language processing (NLP) AI. As part of a fast growing and innovative team, you will be working with ML scientists and engineers to build extremely large scale distributed NLP AI solutions.

Our team's mission is to provide Amazon's customers with a superior experience in their native language by developing and deploying state-of-the art technology and applications in Machine Translation. A successful customer advocate will have strong ownership, a bias for action, solid communication skills, and the ability and drive to dive deep into unseen language problems, quickly categorizing and resolving the issues. Experience with machine translation, especially neural network systems, will be a plus. Your responsibilities will include being responsible for collecting customer feedback, analyzing issues, and leading cross team investigations among engineering and science teams.

. Determining translation solutions to linguistic issues
. Investigating and developing sample text phrases that show, in broad terms, customer failings
. Working with engineering and science teams to develop specific unit tests to resolve issues
. Effectively developing and managing issue resolution of data errors across science and engineering teams
. While responding efficiently to customer issues, candidate must be able to work with technical supervision and supplemental engineering support.
