Amazon's Marketplace technology connects millions of businesses of all sizes to hundreds of millions of Customers within the Amazon.com marketplaces worldwide. Amazon is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Selling Partner Insights and Engagement (SPIE) team. This role holds a key position within SPIE org in designing and developing ETL pipeline for curating data for Seller Central Homepage, Nudging, and Analytics product suites. We operate as a startup within Amazon, providing tremendous ownership over product and technology direction. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing the complex ETL pipelines in data warehouse platform and other BI solutions to support the rapidly growing business demand for data which will have an immediate influence on decision making at Amazon.com. An ideal candidate will be someone with broad technical background in data engineering principles, strong business acumen, high degree of ownership, and is customer obsessed. The successful candidate will also be a great communicator who can crisply communicate his/her analysis in non-technical terms to senior management. They will have a strong bias towards data-driven decision making and will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will coordinate with our partner teams to define and build the data architecture, data mart and reporting layers to facilitate standardized reporting and deep business insight. Their expertise will enable us to standardize and simplify data availability for all users.

Key responsibilities include:

* Partnering with engineering, product, business and finance teams to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement.
* Building automated data solutions and dashboards to enable teams to self-service 80% of data needs, allowing you to focus on answering hard and ambiguous problems.
* Lead architecture design and implementation of next generation BI solutions
* Manage AWS resources including EC2, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, Lambda etc.
* Build and deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines to support business analyst, data scientists, and customer reporting needs.
* Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers
