We are looking for a Mystery Shopping Data Engineer in our New York City office

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop a solid understanding of Mystery Shopping operations and work closely with the teams to identify and help implement technology-driven solutions leading to greater operational efficiencies, higher quality and faster turn-around to clients.
* Challenge the statu-quo and drive process improvements leveraging technology to ensure account profitability.
* Build custom solutions, including sFTP data transfers, data cleaning and processing.
* Become the expert and trusted advisor on all ShopMetrics-related and Sassie-related questions, from project setup to fieldwork management to online reporting.
* Build, maintain and reinforce documentation, processes and procedures for ShopMetrics and Sassie.
* Act as a liaison between the US Mystery Shopping service line, the Prague-based Platform team and the software providers (ShopMetrics/Sassie) to successfully design and implement custom solutions, while driving platform enhancements.
* Provide day-to-day technical guidance and coaching to junior team members.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science or technology or equivalent experience
* At least 5 years' experience in data processing / data analysis / technical operations
* Experience in Mystery Shopping or Market Research a plus
* Strong technical skills with proven experience working with large datasets, relational databases, and data transfers, leveraging on the most appropriate tools
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VBA, database connections, etc.)
* Advanced MS ACCESS skills (forms, modules, database connections, etc.)
* Strong SQL, HTML and JavaScript background
* Ability to learn new software (ShopMetrics, Sassie, Presto…) and understand the Mystery Shopping operations at a fast pace
* Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
* Self-motivated, analytical individual with an attention to detail who strives in a dynamic, deadline driven and fast-pace environment
* Comfortable managing a demanding and multi-faceted work load
* Experience using data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau a plus
* Experience using statistical tools such as SPSS, R a plus
* Experience using EFM tools such as Qualtrics, Medallia, Questback, inMoment a plus
