Job Description

Major Purpose

Provides Data Center planning, technical expertise and management of all physical assets related to the installation and de-installation of hardware including upgrades, migrations, and preventive maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to computer hardware in a large complex and multi-location data center, including the connectivity through various patch panels as well as network support.

Monitoring network connectivity for all systems including local and wide area network monitoring. Problem determination skills on network routers, switches, and data circuits. IP address management, Off Site Access/ Virtual Private Network (OSA/VPN) connect.

Processing Customer Service Requests ensuring timely completion and accuracy according to customer's requirements. Troubleshooting, documentation, and closure of incidents generated through monitoring to ensure resolution and correction to any broken process.

Continuous improvement of processes to ensure the highest quality of services based upon the ISO & ITIL standards and maintains documentation on all processes for the Data Center to include charting of systems and inventory of all computing assets.

Coordinating infrastructure for connectivity with Facilities and other IT departments regarding the hardware for maintenance and migrations involving UNIX, Linus, Windows, and Network equipment.

Requirements

* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process
* 3 to 5 years experience in Information Technology and management skills are essential
* Develop and implement support organizations, procedures, standards, processes, and technical

expertise

* Project management skills
* Ability to interface with all levels of management
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Perform the same responsibility of the Data Center Technical Specialist position
* Training and guide other technical specialist to increase their knowledge and skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Technical expertise in server software and hardware on WAN and LAN
* 4 to 5 years' experience with Cisco networking equipment

Minimum Education Requirement and Experience:

* Bachelor degree (BS or BA)with 3+ years of experience

Travel:

Less than 5%.
