Rand McNally is seeking a Database Administrator to create, install, support and maintain all databases for development, testing and production in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The highly organized and team-oriented candidate must have 8+ years in development and support of My SQL, SQL Server or Oracle databases.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Computer Science or a related field and 8+ years experience in handling database administration (DBA) functions. The candidate must be able to analyze technical issues and troubleshoot fixes. The candidate will have good knowledge of SQL, ETL, SSIS, SSRS, replication, log shipping, and must have experience in software development life cycle.

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of network architectures and OS with excellent knowledge of database backup, restore and disaster recovery system. The candidate must have strong organizational skills and experience with working on several relational databases. Must have experience interfacing with product managers and field support staff.

The successful candidate is collaborative, proactive, organized, detail oriented, self motivated, has a strong sense of urgency, and effective communication skills. The candidate should be willing to work in an Agile environment and be able to thrive in deadline driven environment.
