The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Data Architect, Human Resources Analytics who will create, develop and maintain HR Analytics dashboards and reports as well as contributing to the overall strategy of analytics for HR and the organization. The position will be responsible for developing effective Shoreside HR reporting tools and analysis as well as predictive analytics. Also, this position will be the lead in developing a data warehouse for all Shoreside HR data.

Responsibilities

* Work with HR leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
* Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
* Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
* Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
* Mine and analyze data from company databases such as EV5, Cornerstone, Service Now, Key Survey and other applications as needed, etc. to drive optimization and business strategies
* Prepares and presents analyses to Management on HR related trends
* Creates combined data sets from multiple sources using modern data architecture methods for best practice data modeling, reporting and analytics
* Analyze data for predictive analysis using sophisticated machine learning model
* Creates Reporting SLAs and communicates expectations to the business in a professional manner delivering timely results
* Works closely with Director of HRIS, Reporting and Analytics and Manager of Data Integrity to understand desired metrics and create a strategic plan for predictive analytics and the types of metrics that have value to the organization
* Works closely with Manager of Data Integrity to create audit reports against the business rules for data in systems and develops controls and alerts for various teams to know if rules have not been adhered to
* Aides in the planning, development and testing of an HR Data Warehouse. The data warehouse will be structured to support reporting and analytics and be able to tie HR and Financial data together in reports for improved reporting
* Works closely with Data Architects and Developers on the HR Data Warehouse project, systems upgrades and data quality for reporting and analytics
* Works collaboratively in team environments to complete assignments by specified deadlines
* Other duties as assigned by Director
* Assist HRIS team members as requested

Requirements

* MA In Operations Management, Computer Applications, Management Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics or related fields
* 5+ years' experience in a related position in a business environment
* Strong skills in writing SQL queries and understanding SQL code
* Knowledge of Linear Programs and optimization
* Experience as Data Architect building dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects and other reporting tools as needed
* Experience in Cloud based solution such as AWS, Amazon Redshift
* Experience as Data Architect building tables, columns and data warehouse elements
* Experience designing ETL processes
* Strong MS Excel skills, specifically with Visual Basic macros
* Experience in data mining
* Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to create Executive presentations
* Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
* Up to 15% domestic travel
* Work beyond normal business hours will be required occasionally to support business needs
