We are currently seeking an innovative, disciplined, and results-oriented Data Architect with relevant technical, business, and influencing skills to work in the Global Finance Technology group within the Corporate Functions Technology organization.

As a Data Architect in Global Finance Technology, you will contribute to the development and execution of a business systems roadmap that enables Finance to best support the organization's efforts to compete in an increasingly disrupted, digital and analytically-driven marketplace.

You will help shape and execute on a multi-year transformation that has high impact on the business, contributing to Finance's future system strategy and working closely with IT and Finance leaders to transform Finance processes. You will be responsible for developing and streamlining Finance data processes, data governance, and policy development. You will drive adoption of leading practice finance architecture, improving data quality to ensure highly-controlled finance data platform is delivered.

Responsibilities:

* Develop data governance framework for Finance, including data governance strategy, approach, and roadmap.
* Establish data dictionary and authoritative sources for the core data elements required to support Finance processes and reporting.
* Recommend technological solutions to improve data quality and data integration across the financial platform.
* Partner with Liberty Mutual IT and other enterprise data functions to drive the long-term development of financial data infrastructure, including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.
* Review architectural designs and IT solutions to ensure consistency, maintainability, flexibility.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline; Master's preferred.
* 10 years of data architecture experience in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.
* Experience with Finance systems, data concepts, and business processes.
* Understanding of accounting processes and terminology.
* In-dept knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and data architecture methodologies.
* Experience in data quality, metadata management, data discovery, reporting, and analytics.
* Experience in data requirements and design challenges associated with delivering data for financial reporting (management, regulatory, etc.).
* Experience with designing the data flow in the entire Finance's end-to-end systems landscape. This landscape includes: source systems, accounting engines, sub-ledgers, data integration layers, general ledger, consolidation, analytics and reporting platforms.
* Experience with developing data sourcing approaches, data query and analysis to meet business needs.
* Experience with master data governance tools (e.g. Informatica, SAP MDG), finance systems / Finance ERP implementations (e.g. SAP, Hyperion, Essbase, reporting tools, finance data warehousing, data lake, etc.).
* Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals and align data initiatives with the overall Finance strategy.
* Ability to influence across all levels of the organization and to partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
