What you'll do:

We are working on some challenging problems that require bright minds and grit to help us solve. We work in an agile environment. We have taken our analytic products 'to the cloud' and are entering the arena of big data and the "internet of things." It is an exciting journey that will allow you to:

* Serve as a data modeler and an expert for data architecture
* Partner with product and development teams to understand the data needs for our products
* Drive the execution of data architecture and provide architectural guidance to teams
* Provide creative solutions to complex data problems through in-depth analysis and design
* Leverage your data domain skills to support data and analytical innovation initiatives
* Build data pipelines that are highly scalable and performant
* Report progress, issues and status at daily and weekly stand-ups
* Stay abreast of emerging database technologies and design standards

What you need:

* Bachelor's degree, computer science or related field preferred
* 5+ years of experience with relational, NoSQL, and distributed database systems

(BigQuery, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.)

* Hands-on experience with Apache Hadoop ecosystem
* Strong data modeling and design skills
* Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills
* Experience with data migration and ETLs
* Expertise in performance tuning especially for complex queries and indexing strategies
* Strong experience in translating business requirements to data solutions
* Experience working in cloud computing and distributed data environments
* Collaborate effectively with database and other technology teams
* Strong ability to analyze data problems and formulate effective solutions
* Agile software development methodology experience
* Proven ability to work in a rapid release product environment


* Strong understanding of highly available and scalable databases
* Strong Python programming skills
* You have built enterprise level data lake
* Experience with BI reporting tools
