Data and BI Analyst, Professional

Job Description

Are you excited about partnering with multiple business areas to empower them with the tools and data in a functional manner needed to make accurate and timely decisions?

Your work falls into three primary categories of work:

Data Analysis

* Perform data profiling, extensive data analysis, setup mock data for development/unit testing.
* Develop business rules spreadsheets (BRSs) to document data movement/data transformation rules.

Business Analysis

* Work with the business areas to identify BI solutions to business needs.
* Design requirements and visualizations solutions to solve business needs.

System Analysis

* Work with developers for detailed design document.
* Work with developers, data modelers, testers and business area SMEs to support development, system testing, UAT
* Lead and support change control on requirements
* Support System Testing, End-to-End testing, and UAT
* Contribute to the delivery of the Requirements traceability matrix (RTM)

Qualifications

* Minimum three (3) years of Systems Analysis experience.
* Minimum three (3) years of current and hands-on experience with complex SQL and high-volume Relational databases.
* Minimum two (s) years of Systems Analysis and Requirements Development for Multi-Dimensional Datamarts (Star Schema).
* Minimum three (3) years of current and hands-on experience with MS-Office and Visio.
* Proven track record to learn new technologies quickly.
* Strong analytical skills, proficiency in root cause analysis, and ability to solve problems and craft business solutions.
* Ability to communicate with business users and help write business requirements.
* Ability to translate Business Requirements into Information/Data requirements.
* Ability to work with project management and technical development teams; build and maintain technical/project documentation; participate in project estimation.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and listening skill sets.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical equivalent
