Data Analyst

Location: Herndon, VA

Duration: 4 months with possibility of an extension

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deployment of custom reports which meet the Enterprise requirements

Responsible for writing ad-hoc queries to support customer data requests

Responsible for troubleshooting reports issues

Ability to identify data anomalies, clearly communicate findings and present recommended options for resolution

Understand the relationship and impacts between application and reports

Collaborate with Stakeholders / Business Analysts/ IT / data warehouse and any system vendors to create and maintain a production environment for overall reporting

Mentor and assist team and stakeholders on reporting concepts and best practices

50/50- new reports vs. manipulating existing reports.

Required:

SQL, SSRS/SSIS, Business Objects, SharePoint, PowerPivot

Maybe 3-5 years with SQL and Business Objects, 1-2 for the others

Nice to have:

Access, Excel, Tableau

Skills:

* Experience analyzing data and creating reports.
* Using tools/technology such as SQL, ODATA, MS Access, MS Excel, SSRS/SSIS, Tableau, Business Objects, SharePoint, PowerPivot etc.
* Communication skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize.
* Knowledge of ETL solutions and stored procedures is a plus
