Cyber Security Technology Project Manager

Mclean, VA

1 year+ Contract

Exciting new job opening to join our team and work on-site at our client's global HQs based out of Mclean, VA. The Cyber and Technology Project Manager should have a strong cyber security background that sets the foundation for a close collaboration with Network and Systems Engineering, Operations, Application Development teams, as well as senior management. Work will include project management support for a range of infrastructure, compliance, cyber threat, and application security efforts. In addition, projects may include supporting enterprise platforms, infrastructure, and network engineering.

The successful candidate will have experience delivering information security and related technical projects and will be responsible for tracking and reporting progress, issues, resource utilization, and funding status of all projects to the Program Manager, Chief Information Security Officer, and Executive Leadership. The candidate will participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, a wide variety of project management activities, analysis, communications, testing, and documentation. He or she must have the ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact virtually and in-person with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

o Responsible for end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end.

o Produce timely and high quality work products in support of technology projects, including scope, project plans, project schedules, requirements specifications, meeting minutes, test plans, test scripts, and other deliverables.

o Manage change requests. Assess impact to scope, schedule and cost; and communicate with key stakeholders.

o Prepare project status reports and financial reporting, weekly and as requested.

o Organize and structure solutions to solve complex problems.

o Create and deliver presentations to senior management on project goals and plans, progress reporting, updates, milestones, metrics, risks and issues.

o Organize and facilitate project planning, status meetings, reviews, requirements and release planning, and other project-related meetings.

o Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core systems, technologies, and technical platforms.

o Understand the relationships, dependencies, and impact of neighboring business functions and projects.

o Evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between Information Security and other departments.

Required Qualifications

o 3 to 5 years of relevant project management experience.

o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Visio.

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or related field.

o Possess broad knowledge of cyber security project management.

o Technical understanding of network security, identity management, GDPR, and application security.

o Knowledge of a variety of information security technologies and platforms.

o Information Security and/or PMP certifications are a plus.

o Experience with ServiceNow ITBM (Project Management module)
