THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE or INTERIM TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE

Aquila is seeking Cyber Security Engineers possessing a Top-Secret Security Clearance to contribute to one of this country's premier defense research organizations. The Cyber Systems and Operations Group works closely with the nation's cyber forces, intelligence community, and federal agencies to identify operational gaps in cybersecurity capabilities and analyze their current and planned systems and missions. These new positions are permanent positions with full benefits and have been added to address growth and capacity issues. One position will be based in Lexington, MA and the other at Fort Meade, Annapolis, MD.

Responsibilities:

The position will work with program managers and technical subject matter experts to perform vulnerability evaluations, assist in system architecture design, and assess risk management using approved security tools. Security metrics will be developed and provided to track systems status, vulnerabilities, risks, and efforts to effect process or system improvements.

Required Skills:

* Operating Systems: UNIX/Linux, Windows, OSX, VMware, Cisco IOS.
* Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple.
* Software/applications: SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook), MS Active Directory, LDAP, Java, Javascript, SQL.
* Programming Languages: Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Powershell.
* Networking applications and protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S.
* System auditing, hardening and firewall configurations.

Preferred Skills:

* Databases (PostgreSQL, mySQL, MongoDB), web servers (Apache, nginx)
* SIPRNET and SAP/SC experience

Qualifications and Background:

* Top Secret Security Clearance
* MS/BS or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related technical discipline.
* One or more of these certifications: Microsoft, Red Hat, VMWare, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); CompTIA Security+; Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC); IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), GIAC Security Administration Certification; SANS/GIAC GSEC, ISC-squared CISSP, ISC-squared SSCP, ISACA CISM, ISACA CISA, EC-Council CEH, EC-Council ECSA, CompTIA Security+, CWNP CWSP
* At least 8 years of applicable experience.
