As part of our application security practice, we deliver on Deloitte's DevSecOps methodology to help clients and customers define their security strategy from the ground up.

The team

Deloitte Advisory's Cyber Risk team helps complex organizations more confidently pursue their growth, innovation and performance agendas through proactive management of the associated cyber risks. Our professionals provide advisory and implementation services that integrate risk, regulatory, and technology skills to help clients transform their legacy programs into proactive Secure.Vigilant.Resilient.TM cyber risk programs. Work you'll do

* Develop strategies for application security and security policies, compliance frameworks and DevOps in product development or solution implementation.


* Understand complex business problems and develop solutions using Secure SDLC methodologies.


* Understand technical and business requirements to develop tactical and strategic roadmaps to address and implement Secure SDLC controls (data privacy, SAST, DAST, etc).


* Perform threat modelling using tools and otherwise.


* Integrate security control design, implementation, and testing into the DevOps offerings.


* Manage business requirements, scope and schedule and full cycle development and implementation.


* Collaborate with the Security Developers to understand any changes or new development efforts to ensure compatibility with existing orchestration framework.


* Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.


* Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve objectives; technically guide cyclical and project activities through to completion.


* Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality.


* Work with teams to bring continuous improvement from a security perspective to application lifecycle management processes and tools.


* Identify further opportunities in engagements to drive expansion and profitability.



Qualifications:

* Core security fundamentals and knowledge


* Understanding of the Application Security landscape:
* Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)


* In-depth Infrastructure (operating systems, databases) experience


* Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies


* Networking (ports/protocols), firewalls, load balancers


* Cloud experience


* Identity access management


* SaaS, IaaS, PaaS


* Host based security and tooling


* Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages




* Experience developing and creating governance models, security guidelines, and strategies related to the following areas for highly integrated environments:
* 3rd party risk management


* Patch management


* Asset management


* Compliance and regulatory mandates


* Data privacy and data protection


* Processes and procedures


* Standards and guidance (NIST cyber-security and risk management frameworks)




* Hands on experience with code repositories.


* Experience in developing an application in a professional setting using 4th generation languages


* Experience with security related tools (SAST, DAST, thread modeling, risk assessment, etc)


* Experience in cloud security and full lifecycle implementations


* Understanding of DevOps methodologies and Agile procedures


* Willingness to learn new technologies in a rapidly changing environment


* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation capabilities


* Strong attention to detail


* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple systems


* Ability to communicate clearly to end-users and executive level


* Strong problem solving skills


* Strong organizational skills


* Willingness to teach others and share knowledge


* 2+ years in IT Security and Risk Management, Secure SDLC, Application Development and Security, and DevOps


* BA/BS in information technology, computer science, or related field highly preferred; or significant industry work experience


* Willingness to travel ~ 80%
