On April 14, 1981, in Honolulu, Hawaii, William "Bill" Melton incorporated his new tech company. Bill's product was a kind of verification device using phone lines-a verification phone.

But then a pivot. The credit card industry was relatively new at the time and processing was still being done with carbon paper. Bill saw a way to reduce costs for companies like Visa and MasterCard, while capitalizing on this new technology. Instead of verifying checks, we would provide local businesses a means to electronically process credit card payments. And thus, the Verifone payment device was born.

Position Summary:

You will be responsible for defining the overall system architecture for our global certs and keys initiatives. Initially focusing on our global remote keyload solutions with the goal to standardize on a corporate solution thereby reducing overall operations cost and risk. We have a number of in region built products which are using EOL of systems and some not meeting security standards and need to be migrated including Australia, Nordics, Brazil and Germany.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Strong background and experience in architecting data security products.
* Expert understanding of algorithms ranging from symmetric, a-symmetric, hashes, and random number generators.
* Demonstrated ability to convert theoretical security concepts into production.
* Experience with Key split, derivation and distribution models.
* Good working knowledge of all aspects of the Key lifecycle including storage
* Have a deep understanding and experience architecting cryptography based protocols including external communications, data storage, authentication and data transfer.
* Good knowledge of Hardware Security Modules.
* Have a good understanding of PKI including the Certificate lifecycle, Certificate Practice Statements and Certificate Policies
* Show a natural desire and curiosity to learn new cryptographic concepts/processes.

Skills & Abilities:

* BS degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
* 7+ years' of relevant working experience.
* Have good interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
* Have a desire to share knowledge and assist Peers in their understanding.
* Have a natural ability to think 'outside of the box', and want to design and lead the Industry.
* Have a deep understanding of where Cryptography fits within the wider spectrum of Information Security.
* Proficient in executing projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
* Knowledge of payment concepts a plus.
* Experience using PKCS#11 a plus
* Experience with POS & terminals is a nice to have..
* Experience in PCI PIN and PCI P2PE encryption key management requirements a plus
* FIPS 140-2 and PCI PTS knowledge is a plus.
* Ability to support limited international travel.
