Content Strategy Lead, Search Airbnb

Job Description

The Airbnb content strategy team is growing, and we're looking a strong content strategist with experience working on search products to join our team. As part of the Search Design team, you'll work to create a search experience that intelligently guides guests according to their travel needs, and flexes to support current and future business needs. You'll also help build systems that allow us to surface personalized, contextual content to our guests at every stage of their trip-from discovery to check-in.

Responsibilities:

* Lead content strategy for Airbnb's search experience
* Create content standards to ensure consistency across the search experience
* Help shape the strategic vision and goals for the Search and Content Strategy teams
* Partner with product leadership to shape product strategy for your product area and influence strategic decisions
* Be accountable for content quality across the entire search experience, including that of other content strategists
* Partner closely with design, research, and other cross-functional leaders to foster a collaborative culture and drive consensus across the team
* Work with legal and localization teams to simplify complex concepts for a global audience
* Develop content frameworks, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help people understand the practice of content strategy
* Promote content strategy throughout the company and within the broader design and content communities
* Develop processes and templates to help content strategists work more efficiently
* Work with other content strategy leads and managers on team-wide initiatives, like recruiting

Requirements:

* Experience working on search products
* 5+ years of experience in product content strategy
* Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
* Experience writing content for web/mobile products and developing style guides required
* Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners and work in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for Airbnb's mission and deep empathy for our diverse community
* Portfolio of writing samples
