JOB SUMMARY

Marriott's Digital Operations team is tasked with keeping the content in our online sites accurate and up to date. Content accuracy is critical for providing our Loyalty members and guests with the latest information about our brands, hotels, and programs. The Content Management Specialist maintains content for Marriott.com and its international websites using the content management system. This role liaises with, and takes direction from, the Digital Content Management team at Corporate Headquarters responding to inquiries from content stakeholders and website users regarding content and functionality of Marriott.com and related digital products. This team receives requests to upload creative assets (such as images, video/multimedia, and other interactive files), make text updates, and facilitate functionality changes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

* High school diploma or GED
* 1 years' experience working in a customer service environment or online field (preferably eCommerce)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop

Preferred

* Good working knowledge of WEM Content Management System
* Working knowledge of EPIC
* SEO experience

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

* Maintains and updates existing content on Marriott.com and its corresponding sites using the WEM content management system and other platforms.
* Works within the metadata structure of Marriott.com to create metadata entries for each new element on the site.
* Resolves tickets based on the established priority and follows the protocol for updating the tickets to the proper state when the work is performed.
* Follows established processes for making updates to content on Marriott.com to ensure there are no incidents involving missing or garbled content on the pages being updated.
* Implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) content entries.

Supporting Operations

* Responds to inquiries from content stakeholders and website users regarding content and functionality of their respective sections of the Marriott web sites or digital channels.
* Conducts quality assurance on personal and others' work to ensure the site meets quality standards, including visual and functional QA and proofreading.
* Ensures all updates made on Marriott.com adhere to the current style guide and glossary.
* Ensures adherence to branding guidelines and marketing objectives.
* Maintains Marriott's highest standards for quality focusing on both content and presentation.
* Exercises independent discretion and judgement when modifying content instances on Marriott.com.
* Follows established escalation procedures when unable to resolve or implement the requested content change.

Additional Responsibilities

* Accurately records time to complete tasks using Marriott's production/accounting system.
* Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.
* Attends and participates in all relevant meetings.
* Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, organized manner..
* Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.
