Job Description

Responsible for developing scalable testing strategies, building tools, and defining and implementing tests for the Subscription Lifecycle team, including Accounting, Billing, Payments, Partnerships, Subscriptions, and Support. Improves performance, scalability, and availability of our internal systems. Diagnoses and debugs issues in production/test environments and reports defects. Proposes regression tests to discover reoccurring issues. Collaborates with program managers and software developers in an open, creative environment to create novel solutions to challenging technical problems. Designs and builds tools. Designs and builds scalable and maintainable test infrastructure to help engineering teams measure and increase their velocity. Partners with product and engineering teams to develop test automation for backend service teams. Introduces effective test/quality methodologies to teams and improves existing tests. Helps coach engineers in the team to ramp up on automation concepts and contributes towards improving test coverage. Applies software engineering practices and agile approaches and utilizes scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript and Shell Scripting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in a software testing (SDET) and/or software development (SDE) occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's Degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in a software testing (SDET) and/or software development (SDE) occupation. The required experience must include experience with software engineering practices and agile approaches. The required experience must include experience with a scripting language such as Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Shell Scripting.

The required experience must include experience with a web/mobile test automation tool/framework like Selenium, Robot, Cucumber, Cypress, Calabash, Appium, Robotium, Watir, etc.
