Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Section Manager for the Configuration and Data Management team - Selected candidate can be based out of our El Segundo or Goleta Facility

The Section Manager serves as the direct line manager for ten or more Configuration Analysts and Data Analysts. This is a hands on leadership position that requires the candidate to be directly involved in the CM and DM activities performed for the programs within the assigned mission area. Responsibilities include management, training, mentoring, staffing and professional development of employees in the Configuration & Data Management roles supporting selected Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) programs with a business areas.

The candidate will provide sound Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) related technical judgment and leadership, be highly proactive, and knowledgeable in CM/DM processes across the business areas supported by the CM/DM Department. Additionally the candidate will have experience in proposal preparation, basis of estimate generation and Earned Value Management (EVMS)

Responsibilities include managing employees who perform all aspects of configuration and data management including the development of Configuration Management planning; establishment of program Engineering Review and Configuration Control Boards (ERBs/CCBs); deployment and execution of the SAS Common Release Process; deployment and maintenance of the Work Product Management System; and other activities related to the identification, control, and status accounting of systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, and manufacturing activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and ensures compliance with Raytheon and SAS policies.

The Section Manager will interface with internal and external customers, coordinating process and product reviews, establishment and maintenance of product baselines, and the review and release of engineering work products. The Section Manager will review current and future staffing and training requirements to ensure that a plan is in place to meet all program needs. The Section Manager also develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards and prepares and reviews bids for new business.

Required Skills:

* Minimum of 10 years of Engineering or related experience to include Configuration and Data Management experience in a DoD environment; At least 3 years of direct or indirect leadership experience
* Comprehensive understanding of the Configuration and Data Management disciplines
* Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools and Source Control tools
* Ability to Obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
