Position Overview

The Computer Operator will be responsible to support the mission of the department by executing the production schedule and monitoring & maintaining the systems on a 7/24 basis. Computer Operators monitor all systems and services and troubleshoots escalates and resolves issues as they occur. The Computer Operator is responsible for logging, tracking, and communicating issues to the appropriate resources. The Operator is also responsible for end user security; creating accounts and providing access to the company's systems.

Hours for this position are 9:30pm to 8:30am Monday thru Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor all servers and systems including legacy systems
* Ensures AX, SQL, Oracle, EDI, HP, Linux batch processes complete successfully
* Conducts 1st, 2ndand 3rd level problem diagnosis using documented procedures and available tools. Operator initiates escalation as appropriate to the next level of support personnel or vendors and follows through until the issue is resolved.
* Ensures Invoices, reports are printed or electronically delivered.
* Maintains EDI system checklists, corrects and resubmits EDI invoices
* Develops and maintains documentation of operational procedures
* Provides operational assistance to programmers, BSA's or other IT staff
* Create & maintain all process documentation and recovery procedures
* Monitor all servers and systems including legacy systems
* Ensure new hire accounts are processed according to SLA
* Works additional shifts, weekends and holidays as needed due to work volume and staffing availability
* Ensure deactivation of termed employee accounts are processed with in SLA and company assets are recovered

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

* BA/BS in IT, IS or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Good written and verbal communications, along with strong organizational skills are required
* Need to be able to multi-task and work well with minimum supervision in a sometimes-high pressure work environment

Technology Focus & Requirements

* Must have general knowledge of PC's, and servers and Microsoft Office
* Exposure to Dynamics AX, Linux, EDI, FTP, SQL, and Active Directory
* Exposure to Exchange, Cisco Phones, Oracle is a plus.
* Knowledge of desktop & server hardware and software applications is preferred
* Exposure or experience with system monitoring, job scheduling or computer operations is preferred
