Computer Graphics Software Engineer InternFacebook Reality Labs | Redmond, WA

Facebook Reality Labs is a world leader in the exploration of virtual and augmented reality systems. We are currently seeking software engineering interns with a passion for future VR and AR technology. Our software internships are twelve (12) weeks long, generally starting in summer of 2019.

Responsibilities

* Design, develop, debug and implement experimental VR/AR systems, prototypes and algorithms
* Collaborate with and support other software engineers, hardware engineers and research scientists
* Regularly communicate progress and results
* Relevant areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
* -Graphics
* -Machine Learning

Minimum Qualifications

* Pursuing a Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Applied Math or a related STEM field
* Currently enrolled in a full time degree program
* 2+ years experience with modern C/C++, including low-level debugging and performance tuning
* 2+ years experience with a high level language such as Python, Java, or C#
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
* Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States for the Fall 2019 intern season

Preferred Qualifications

* Emphasis in one or more of the following areas is desirable: graphics, game development, computer vision, machine learning, physics
