Job OverviewQualcomm Research is defining the next-generation architectures for our system-on-chip (SoC) products for a variety of different markets. We are currently looking for a Computer Architect for a novel ground up processor design project aimed at low power signal processing and machine learning workloads. This exciting & dynamic computer architect position will have a focus on novel architectural concepts and their applicability to Qualcomms SoCs. In particular, the position is aimed at architecting an innovative low power processor for signal processing and machine learning workloads. The position requires working with a team of world-class SoC and processor architects, modeling and evaluating innovative concepts, and then working with digital designers for realization. The position will involve understanding industry and product trends, work with the product team to define feature sets and architect solutions for delivering the required performance, power and area. This role has a heavy focus on developing processor models at different levels of abstraction using state-of-art techniques. The position will also involve collaboration with schools and startups on promising technology.All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
