Description
Communications Security Engineer
SAIC has a new opportunity for a Communications Security (COMSEC) Engineer to work on an exciting, fast-paced national program. As a SETA, provide COMSEC advice, guidance, and oversight of government activities.
Key duties/responsibilities:
* Manage a large COMSEC account and all associated activities and reports
* Develop and maintain sponsor key management policies and procedures
* Provide recommendations for procurement of COMSEC accountable products
* Maintain inventory of all sponsor COMSEC accountable equipment to include items at ~100 contractor facilities
* Install software and hardware upgrades as required for all COMSEC equipment used by sponsor
* Provide technical troubleshooting assistance on COMSEC equipment including space and ground COMSEC devices
* Package and ship COMSEC equipment and keying material in accordance with National policies
* Download keying materials and generate transfer and destruction reports using iApp program
* Conduct COMSEC audit at ~100 sponsor contractor sites to include physical, technical, and operational security aspects
* Develop, maintain, and provide COMSEC training for new COMSEC custodians
* Develop, maintain, and provide COMSEC security indoctrinations for individuals requiring cryptographic clearance
* Responsible for COMSEC issues related to opening and closing of sponsor contractor facilities to include coordination with Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer Technical Representative

Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
d Qualifications:
* TS/SCI clearance with Poly
* Knowledgeable of all National COMSEC policies and procedures
* Hands on experience with manual and electronic keying, configuration, upgrade, and installation of a variety of cryptographic equipment/systems
* Experience with on-line cryptographic accounting records database
* Experience with General Dynamics electronic database to remotely re-key and monitor cryptographic equipment
* Experience in auditing and inspecting contractor facilities for COMSEC compliance
* Polished communicator
* Willing to travel in CONUS (~25%)
Education/Experience:
* BA/BS Degree and 9-years relevant work experience
* Minimum 5-years COMSEC experience
Desired Qualifications:
* COMSEC experience supporting intelligence community
