Commercial Analytics Technical Lead

The Commercial Analytics Technical Lead position is in the Pharma Informatics USIX team in SSF that is responsible to provide IT Services to Genentech's Field Customer Engagement Network. The Field Customer Engagement Network interfaces with Commercial business organizations, including Field Analytics & Operations (FAO) and Market Analysis & Strategy (MA&S). This position will be focused on closely partnering with business stakeholders and Informatics colleagues to deliver the IT Services to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead delivery of analytics solutions for portfolio of projects within the team


* Provide hands-on leadership to our software engineers to design and develop solutions using Analytics software including Qlik View and QlikSense.


* Work with business stakeholders to understand business use cases and needs and translate them into working solutions using iterative design and development techniques


* Use Agile methodologies and frameworks to deliver MVP solutions, influencing business stakeholders to prioritize requests


* Responsible for the technical oversight and leadership of outside vendors and international software developers working on the solutions that you own.


* Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for solutions in this area


* Manage and/or support the successful implementation and delivery of solution releases, possibly spanning multiple parallel tracks.


* Collaborate with internal and external teams to leverage new technologies and run Proofs of Concept (POCs)


* Keep track of industry and cutting-edge technology trends, connect and foster external networking opportunities to look for new and innovative ways to do business differently


* Help instill agile product/DevOps mindset within the service delivery teams


* Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to management and business stakeholders.



Qualifications

* BS in Computer Science or related field


* 5+ years of experience in developing and managing software solutions using current and emerging business intelligence and visualization tools


* Ability to troubleshoot across layers of the technology stack


* Experience with Qlik View, QlikSense and other BI tools (ie. Tableau, ThoughtSpot)


* Strong leadership and communication skills to work with leadership and stakeholders in executing the vision and providing content and best practices as needed


* Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand and tease out their needs, translating them into data insights and visualization


* Ability to leverage his/her experience in delivering and supporting global information systems in an environment for a diverse and distributed user base while relying on a number of global/enterprise shared services
