Collections and Recovery within Bank of America is looking to grow their testing capabilities by bringing an additional Quality Assurance Analyst. This individual will be working with our development and technology partners and will be responsible for establishing and executing quality assurance testing practices across all products and platforms in Production, Development and UAT environments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Work closely with the project execution team to identify, analyze, and document defects and impacts and work on their resolution
* Analyze requirements, develop test plan strategies, create and execute test cases, track defects and report results.
* Assists in developing quality assurance based on established specifications
* Provide recommendations on QA testing tools based on industry standards
* - Assess data quality by determining data quality criteria and define metrics to test against.
* - Use SQL queries to create test data and analyze results for the tests performed using knowledge of Database Management systems like Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop
Required Skills:
* 5+ years of hands-on working experience in a software quality engineering organization
* Experience in working on project using matured SDLC methodologies and models: i.e. Agile, Waterfall etc.
* QA Process/Methodology and Business acumen in technical development organization
* Must have strong understanding of database management systems like Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and issues concurrently
* Results and deadline driven
* Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment bringing new ideas and technologies into business
Desired Skills:
* Have a reasonable understanding of Big Data infrastructure
* Experience in using one or more SDLC tools - Rally, JIRA or HP ALM
* Additional expertise in one or more languages will be an asset - VBScripts, VBA, HTML, Python, Unix.
* Working experience in banking domain
* Strong presentation skills
* University Degree or equivalent work experience
Enterprise Description:
Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level. Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports and updates for senior management. May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. 2-5 years experience preferred.
