Job Description:

Position entails conducting complex analysis and validation of various Collections and Recovery strategies using DB2, Teradata, Hadoop data systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Gather and analyze data and optimize metrics on the performance of Collections and Recovery strategies
* Work with business users to understand their analytics needs to build reports and dashboards on BI platform
* Owning strategies across all C&R products from a performance validation standpoint and run monthly reports to check performance metrics. Socialize this with Credit Risk partners
* Track benefits on new initiatives from a Net Credit Loss and Expense saving standpoint by using data from SQL Server, Teradata and Hadoop data warehouses
* Work with Data Architect and Technical Lead to design the ETL view to transform the source data into data mart/data warehouse tables, along with views consumed directly by BI
* Develop and test the BI and ETL views
* Ensure the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting packages by partnering with the data management team
* Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
* Position must be able to support multiple concurrent priorities and work effectively across multiple teams.

Required Skills:

* Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience
* 4 years of experience in data analysis
* 1-2 years of Business Intelligence Experience (Microstrategy, Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics or similar BI reporting/analytical tools)
* Functional knowledge of ETL tools to move, manipulate and structure data
* Skilled with MS Office (Advanced Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
* Skilled with SAS-EG and/or SQL for data gathering and analysis
* Strong networking skills with ability to drive and influence outcomes
* Strong problem solving and planning skills to drive improved efficiency
* Ability to work in complex, fast paced environment
* Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to present to executive level leadership
* Strong organizational skills, very detail oriented & ability to shift and manage priorities appropriately

Desired Skills:

* Previous Collections and Recovery and/or call center experience preferred
* Experience navigating control/compliance oriented functions
* Software development experience in large projects
* Dashboards development/Visualization skills and XML desired

Enterprise Description:

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.
