The Information Technology (ITS) department at Charles River Associates is currently a Global team of 40 professionals dedicated to enhancing, maintaining, and developing the firm's technology infrastructure and security. The team is comprised of four functions: Service Delivery & Telecom, Enterprise Application Solutions, Infrastructure, Networking and Cloud Services and Security. Information Technology staff are based in the Boston, Chicago, London, Munich, New York, Oakland, and Washington, DC offices.

Job Overview

The Cloud Technical Specialist will define short and long-term cloud adoption roadmaps based around our Cloud adoption strategy. You will be expected to lead on enhancing and improving our Cloud Governance and ensuring that we are leveraging our investment in O365. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to influence and guide our route to the Cloud and drive adoption of our Cloud services and solutions. You will architect and administer our Cloud Tenant to ensure maximum value add from our investment.

Responsibilities

* Demonstrating the value of cloud capabilities alongside identifying the change required to implement at CRA - drive adoption
* Provide technical consultative leadership throughout the life cycle of cloud adoption
* Ensure effective migrations and transformations to O365 and Azure
* Administer our Cloud Tenant and update stakeholders on significant changes
* Take ownership of technical delivery of complex projects on time, in full and within budget
* Design and develop transformative cloud adoption solutions based on strategic technical requirements and / or industry best practice
* Aid the design of complex cloud-based solutions in accordance with a transformative roadmap
* Ensure that the Cloud services meet regulatory and security requirements
* Develop and lead a cloud team at CRA
* Build and design training programs

The role requires close coordination with other teams within the IT department and across the Practices. Travel to other CRA offices will be required.

Mainly a Microsoft house, CRA is looking to leverage our investment in O365 and are currently mostly migrated to Exchange online and looking to go the same route from Lync on premises to Skype for Business online. We are also migrating our Corporate Intranet from SharePoint on premises to SharePoint online. We are leveraging MS Teams and are increasingly getting requests for solutions in Azure. We offer many opportunities for advancement for the right candidate. This role offers the candidate the opportunity to carve a new path through the organization in this growing field.

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor of Science in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems preferred
* Significant expertise in O365 and MS Azure
* Strong technical background, with hands on experience with migrations to cloud
* Experience with PowerShell and workflows
* Extensive SharePoint experience required
* Extensive knowledge of a wide range of public cloud providers
* Experience with integrating third party applications and SSO
* Experience in hybrid environments
* Execute technical workshops to collect requirements, understand the problem and explore solutions
* Be a change agent and understand how to influence key stakeholders
* Experience working in an International environment is preferred
* Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Interest in researching new technologies
* Strong communication skills and collaborative team worker
* Very good problem-solving skills and passion for learning new technologies
* A good understanding of today's IT security challenges
