Job Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Cloud/Systems Engineer requiring a Secret Clearance located in Rosslyn, VA. You would be responsible for leading the efforts of engineering Cloud based Information as a Service (IaaS) for both cloud and on-prem in a Development environment. The candidate will also have a chance build out a Cloud instance in a lab environment. Both areas will offer the opportunity for professional growth and help DoS move forward with Cloud technologies.

Candidate will provide engineering expertise to help facilitate the requirements of implementing Cloud base solutions for DoS. The scope of this work will be to design, engineer and document the Cloud solutions and provide technical insight on managing and troubleshooting the solution. Duties and Responsibilities

* Design and develop initial prototypes/proofs of concept and validate them for technical design and performance
* Be responsive and decisive on adjusting product architecture as customer requirements, market conditions and technology evolves
* Identify and articulate new technology, design methodology and best practices
* Create turnover documentation for prototype systems as they are prepared to move to operational status
* Able to multi-task multiple projects and provide updates to management
* Experience in Azure services beyond basic IaaS functionality
* Be involved in design and implementation of automated configuration management systems
* Experience in Azure services beyond basic IaaS functionality
* Provide technical guidance and input to other teams as needed

Basic Qualifications:

* At least 3 years' experience in automation of code deployment within a Cloud environment
* At least 7 years' experience working as system engineering building production infrastructure
* Experience in Azure services beyond basic IaaS functionality
* Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Has actively participated in the creation of the responses for a system ATO
* Knowledge of networking and software defined networking in cloud environments
* Experience supporting software development environment
* VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5 & 6.0; to include VDP, HA, patching, upgrades and troubleshooting VMware related
* Issues
* Experience developing solutions using automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, System Center
* Ability to articulate complex architectures to non-technical audiences
* Ability to document solutions and train operational teams on supportability
* US citizenship with active Top Secret security clearance
