Job Description

Overview of Role/Job Purpose:

The Microsoft Cloud Solutions Architect and Administrator helps align our corporate strategies into tactical Microsoft solutions such as Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Intune, Autopilot that best meets our business needs. This role acts as a bridge between our executives, users, and operational personnel to provide realistic insight into how Microsoft Solutions can be leveraged and implemented in our environment.

This role defines what is needed to be done to implement Microsoft solutions, using written and verbal communication skills to scope, assemble, and propose solutions. This is a hands-on role that can manage, facilitate, and coordinate execution of proposed solutions into fruition.

This role also ensures that the operational activities required to manage and administrate the implemented solutions are documented and executed consistently by the Microsoft

Duties:

* Design Microsoft and related technology solutions.
* Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects to, architect the design, development, and deployment of scalable and secure Microsoft solutions using best practices.
* Understands, documents, and supports the underlying business processes, workflows, data and application platforms that depend on Microsoft services.
* Management of stakeholders, setting expectations on delivery and scope.
* Contributes to resource planning activities, provide detailed estimates for effort, HW/SW costs, and ongoing operational costs.
* Take ownership of issues, with a sense of urgency, and using sound judgement to resolve within service levels.
* Engage peers in accordance with processes and procedures to create complete solution designs.
* Develop and communicate task level detail for project plans.
* Develop architectural standards, blueprints, and building blocks.
* Must be able to effectively coordinate and multi-task across various groups and functional teams inside and outside of the organization.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, communication, and expertise on vendor-certified techniques, methods, standards, and processes.
* Support Team to meet security and audit requirements.

Skills/Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

* Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Technology
* 5+ Years of relevant industry experience
* Certifications

o Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE or similar)

* Technical/Professional Expertise

o Advanced knowledge and understanding of core Microsoft technologies and services including;

§ Microsoft Azure Cloud Services

* Single Sign On (SSO)
* Azure AD

§ Office 365

§ Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)

§ Exchange

§ Windows Server

§ Group Policy (GPO)

o Broad knowledge and understanding of Microsoft technologies and services;

§ Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS)/Intune

§ Microsoft Teams

§ System Center (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM)

§ SQL

§ Security

o Knowledge and experience with IT Controls such as;

§ ITIL

§ CoBIT

§ COSO

* Judgment

o Capable of selecting an effective option where there are conflicting views and interests

* Business Acumen

o Demonstrates solid understanding of general business principles, cost controls, and profit generation.

* Directing Work Through Others

o Able to establish high standards and monitor performance against those standards

* Organizing Work/Project Management

o Able to develop plans with medium-term objectives in mind and make sure tasks are completed
