Position Description:

The Cloud Software Engineer is a full-stack engineer responsible for re-engineering, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining customer applications in moving to a secure cloud environment. The Cloud Software Engineer assists the Government in evaluating, designing, and implementing a service-oriented architecture (SOA) for web application development in order to plan and optimize web service performance and function. These duties include assisting the Government with business process modeling, evaluation, and requirements gathering, as requested. The Cloud Engineer shall support database development, maintenance, and operational support for customer applications and support data migration efforts.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Education and Certifications

* Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or other comparable certifications or experience in the DevSecOps domain.

Knowledge and Experience

* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on development projects, DevSecOps, and application development specifically.
* Strong development and design experience with at least three (3) years of experience in deploying enterprise applications on AWS.
* Experience in large scale, high performance enterprise big data application development on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS.
* Strong knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process including concept planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and O&M of IT Systems.
* Knowledge of Agile software development practices and release management.
* Ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology, and keep current with industry certifications.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with executive, technical staff, and non-technical staff.
