This individual will work closely with Sales team members to validate and support efforts related to compliance mandates and frameworks, customer authorization projects, and field general inquiries related to Splunk's information assurance readiness. In addition, this individual will assist with customer engagements related to compliance frameworks and Cloud architecture.

General requirements:

* Understanding and practical knowledge product security, U.S. compliance evaluation and authorization / certification activities (e.g. FISMA, FedRAMP, ATO's, Common Criteria, Section 508, etc.)
* Exceptional organization, communication, project management, and documentation skills, including practical experience with:
* Managing internal and customer facing projects
* Crafting client-ready presentations, whitepapers, discussion documents, and RFP responses that are appropriately scoped, technically accurate, as well as structurally and grammatically precise
* Delivering software or other technical demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences -- experience doing so with Splunk is highly desirable
* Creative and innovative self-starter, capable of taking ownership and driving projects with cross-functional teams, from start to finish, towards desirable outcomes
* Technical sales / technical services experience
* Systems architecture and design experience in complex environments
* Experience using and supporting Splunk or other modern big data systems in an operational context
* Experience with systems security and/or compliance technologies and use cases

Desirable attributes and differentiators:

* Prior Information Assurance experience, including real-world U.S. Public Sector experience with GSA FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF, DOD, etc.
* Highly technical individual - prior Splunk experience would be ideal
* Understanding of Splunk's Cloud offering and capabilities
* Ability to architect and deploy Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Premium apps in complex, cloud-based environments
* Experience managing complex Cloud-based environments (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure Cloud, preferably Gov environments)
* Current industry certifications related to security, Cloud technology, and/or Splunk certifications (e.g., such as SANS certifications, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Splunk Architect, (ISC)2 CISSP, (ISC)2 CCSP, etc.
* U.S. Military veterans with relevant experience are encouraged to apply

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or similar course of study
* Equivalent professional experience will be considered for highly-qualified candidates
