IT Service Management (ITSM) practice is looking for a Cloud Onboarding Engineer to join our Cloud Enablement Team. As a member of the Cloud Enablement Team, you will guide development teams through the various onboarding processes required to deploy their applications to the cloud or integrate with SaaS solutions. You will assist in the architecture design and review of cloud solutions to ensure they are in line with GEICO's standards and best practices. Your role requires attention to detail and strong system analysis and problem-solving skills. Frequent coordination and collaboration will require excellent interpersonal skills, strong multitasking skills, and a customer service attitude.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Serve as point of contact to application teams, guiding them through requirements and procedures for provisioning, deploying, and operating in Cloud.
* Provide architecture guidance to application teams and identify the best cloud based solutions to meet strategic needs
* Collaborate with application teams and other technical teams to produce topology diagram that provides a service level view to bridge the gap between development and implementation of an application
* Work closely with business technology peers and management; emphasizing collaboration to ensure that the needs and expectations of organizational stakeholders, business partners, external customers, and third-party organizations are met.
* Transfer knowledge via documentation and training to application teams
* Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions

Candidate Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent professional experience is required
* Understanding of technologies including public/private cloud, network, storage, server operating systems and hardware, virtualization technologies.
* Sufficient knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform to research, design, and implement solutions using Azure service offerings (e.g. Cloud Services, virtual machines, Azure Storage, AzureAD, Express Route, vNets, load balancers, etc..)
* Understanding of distributed systems and Service-oriented architecture.
* Understanding of cyber security concepts.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills required for interacting with cross-functional project teams including Software Development, Systems Engineering, Security, and Compliance.
* Excellent customer service skills
