Overview

Clinical Application Analyst - Viimed Administrator

Hospital for Special Surgery has an opportunity for an experienced healthcare IT professional to collaborate on all aspects of the implementation of multiple Viimed related implementations. As a key member of the Information Technology Department, the system administrator will attain/maintain specialized knowledge of the Viimed Software and enterprise Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and serve as a vital liaison between the HSS IT Department, hospital departments, physician's offices and Vendors.

This position requires the flexibility to work an expanded work schedule, including early mornings, nights & weekends during major implementation and support efforts

Responsibilities

* Actively work on all aspects of the Viimed application including new build, configuration, testing and deployment. Support and maintain associated system components and integrations.
* Remain current on Viimed and Epic technologies and obtain certifications in applications as warranted.
* Develop relationships, trust, and credibility to successfully manage multiple demands; maintain daily communications with all users
* Strong Project Management skills (lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues log, manage a project plan.
* Participate in user meetings, in-services and internal team meetings; Provide subject-matter-expert knowledge transfer to colleagues
* Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrade scenarios; provide on-call support as warranted
* Develop and champion new ideas that adds value to the organization
* Participate in process and data design initiatives
* Research best practices and implement them in projects and routine tasks
* Routinely perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other build, design and configuration issues associated with Viimed and Epic use
* Prioritize and implement system change requests; coordinate software updates and changes with end-users
* Review software, analyze business operations and collaborate with colleagues, HSS Business Representatives/Subject Matter Experts and end-users to ensure systems are suitable for the organization's needs

Accountability:

* Oversees application routine work and projects and executes projects with minimal oversight; identifies risks and issues and escalates to project leadership
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, analyze data and understand process flow.
* Facilitating IT team communication to close any gaps as well as managing the implementation needs across various application teams and operational partners.
* Coordinating with training team to ensure end-user comfort and happiness with functionality and tools.
* Take initiative to complete work, solve problems in a timely manner and communicate issues and suggested efficiencies.
* Work independently and provide status updates.
* Develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships at all levels.

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree
* 3+ years IT implementation and/or support experience
* Certified in Epic ClinDoc or other Epic clinical module
* Project Management professional or similar like experience is preferred
* Advanced degree or clinical certification is preferred
* Solid understanding of the operational practices and patient healthcare flow
* Driven to expand on current healthcare IT knowledge and expertise
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented and pragmatic; a great team player who is analytical and solution-focused
* Superior oral, written and non-verbal communication skills; ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships
* Expert level proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, Sharepoint, Onenote and MS Teams
* Ability to contribute to meetings, prioritize issues, resolve conflicts, manage project plans and communicate with all levels of the organization
* Successful candidates will be required to obtain/maintain Epic Certification(s) essential to their function and Viimed training and applicable validation of training
* Flexibility to work an expanded work schedule, including early mornings, nights & possibly weekends during major implementation and support effort
