Job Description

Analyzes desktop hardware and software processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, installation, vendor selection, and delivery of endpoint solutions. Leads multiple projects to ensure that client specifications are met. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Designs and maintains standardized endpoint hardware and software.
* Analyzes business processes and procedures, and gathers and documents project requirements.
* Identifies, tests, and evaluates alternative vendors and products and selects technology solutions that best meet requirements.
* Implements and customizes client solutions; performs necessary quality assurance and beta testing of technology tools.
* Assists in developing technical requirements for the interoperability of systems.
* Manages enterprise level client security and client endpoint management.
* Establishes and maintains deployment and patching cycles.
* Provides product training to internal support staff on relevant technologies.
* Coordinates and oversees client support activities and projects involving vendor, client and other related parties.
* Combines data from multiple sources into forms suitable for analysis and reporting.
* Develops and reviews operating procedures and creates technical documentation.
* Develops and implements streamlined solutions to improve reporting processes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* None

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education

* BS/BA degree in related discipline and five years of related experience; or,
* MS/MA degree in related discipline and three year of related experience; or,
* Equivalent combination of education and experience.
* May require certification in assigned area.

Experience:

* Typically requires a minimum of nine years of related experience and/or combination of experience and education/training
* Minimum of nine+ years progressive experience in PC hardware and software implementation and support, including managing the hardware selection process, establishing standards, creating maintenance programs, and providing primary vendor management.
* Experienced in supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft GPO, and Microsoft Active Directory. Strong working knowledge of Networking infrastructure, including WAN/LAN technologies, TCP/IP protocols, SSL VPN, 802.11x
* Experienced in designing, deploying, and administering remote desktop support and endpoint management solutions such as SCCM, Alteris, Jamf, and Airwatch.
* Implementation and management of VDI technologies such as Citrix or Vmware Horizon.
* Experienced with desktop/laptop security products, such as hard-drive encryption, personal firewalls, anti-virus, data backup, and other information security/data protection solutions.
* Industry best practice knowledge of Windows image setup, sysprep, automation and deployment.Experience with end point security best practices.

* Performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
* May lead or supervise the work of others by providing direction to subordinates or teams based on general policies and management guidance.
* Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
* Has wide-ranging experience in area of specialization.
* Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
* Has complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
* Has good general knowledge of other related disciplines.
* Applies strong analytical and business communication skills.

JOB COMPLEXITY:

* Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
* Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
* Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
