As a Client Leader and Business Developer at DLR Group you will be responsible for leading client engagement from marketing through all construction phases for our Workplace/Corporate Sector. This is a leadership role where strong and effective verbal and written communication skills are paramount. As part of our integrated design team, you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for coordinating with other Workplace Sector teammates to identify, qualify and pursue project opportunities both regionally and nationally. Once the project is secured, you will manage the team and be the primary client leader. This includes contract negotiations and educating the client on our design process. In addition, you will partner with project managers to ensure the financial health and successful execution of the project while maintaining close contact with the client during the duration of the project.

* Possess the proven ability for developing meaningful professional relationships. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, analytical thinking, relationship development techniques, and business development processes.
* Ensure all DLR Group practice standards are followed during the duration of the project.
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and adhere to the work plan and project schedule.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
* Ability to communicate a design solution in a confident yet thoughtful manner.

Required Qualifications:

* Demonstrated experience with multiple Workplace projects specializing in Core & Shell or complex renovations.
* Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
* Licensed Architect.
* 10 or more years industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2 or more years of experience as a Business Development or Client Leader role.
* 1 or more built, ground-up office/corporate projects in a major metropolitan area within the last 3 years
