SAIC is looking for a Chief Systems Engineer to support multiple DoD weapon system development efforts. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience defining the technical architecture of major weapon systems and the system trades, analysis and planning required to support design and development. The selected candidate should have proven experience in leading and managing system engineering efforts to support integration, architecture, development and sustainment activities of a weapon system. Strong ability to define and execute systems engineering processes and discipline consistent with best practices is critical. The selected candidate should have excellent communication, planning, team leadership and analytical skills with exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments. Knowledge of budgeting and ability to estimate financial impacts of modifications to architectural alternatives is required.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Master's degree from an accredited university in System Engineering or a closely related field is required.

Prefer INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) Designation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 20+ years of related architecture experience in an academic, government or commercial environment is required. Familiar with the application of ISO-42010 and ISO-15288, experience with Unified Architecture Framework and Department of Defense Architecture Framework (UAF/DoDAF) and use of Cameo and Sparx Enterprise Architect Tools, must have direct experience of leading systems engineering of complex integrated programs/systems, must have a minimum of 10 years systems engineering work experience in technical field(s) related to design
