Celent is an international research and advisory firm dedicated to helping leading financial institutions create and sustain competitive advantage through the innovative use of technology. We deliver three services to our clients:

Research: Celent analysts conduct research and publish reports on the opportunities and issues relevant to the financial services industry. This includes tracking and predicting future trends, helping clients understand how emerging technologies can be deployed for strategic advantage within propositions and operating models, navigating the commercial technology landscape, and understanding how technology can ease regulatory compliance. Research reports are available exclusively to our clients on a subscription basis. Celent's research forms part of a retained advisory service, where our clients have access to our research, our platform and our people to help them to rapidly make more informed decisions.

Solution Discovery Platform: In the course of conducting research, Celent analysts curate and validate commercial technology solutions held on Celent's fintech database, called VendorMatch. This includes charting the development of the solution landscape, developing opinions on individual solutions, and helping our clients to make informed decisions over which solution to apply for innovative new propositions and business models. Celent's digital platform is a standalone digital self-service proposition, augmented by expert analyst opinion.

Strategy Consulting: Celent analysts also work directly with our clients to address strategy issues. Our strategy-consulting clients include top financial services firms as well as consultancies, venture capitalists and private equity, and technology vendors that serve the financial services industry. Some of our recent client projects have included the solution design and system selection for greenfield digital insurance propositions, due diligence advice for technology vendor acquisitions, benchmarking for the adoption Artificial Intelligence capabilities by global insurance providers, and client education on emerging technologies.

In addition to delivering these services, Celent analysts are expected to develop a high profile and regularly speak with members of the press and present at conferences. Our analysts have been quoted extensively in virtually every leading business publication. Analysts also speak at industry conferences and roundtables and make themselves available to research clients to answer questions on a variety of topics.

This is an analyst role targeted at attracting high-caliber candidates with a background in software engineering or technical consulting. Candidates should have:

* Excellent academic credentials from a top university. We hire people with MBAs or other advanced degrees (masters, doctorates, etc.), as well as individuals with bachelor's degrees only.
* Experience in a top financial institution in the capacity of an enterprise, applications or solution architect, and with responsibility for the development of strategic architecture roadmaps, leading vendor selection processes, and the strategic governance of technology investment.
* A working knowledge of systems, interfaces, data and the underlying infrastructure.
* A keen interest in understanding emerging technologies and their relationship to insurtech.
* Outstanding communication skills both written and oral.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
* Intellectual curiosity and the drive to learn about and master new areas.
* Leadership potential.

The role is targeted at English-speaking client territories. Candidates proficient in Spanish or Portuguese will have the added advantage of being able to work with Celent's Latin American and Iberian Peninsula clients.

Locations: Celent currently has openings in Boston, Dallas, New York, San Francisco and Toronto (remote office is a possibility)
