Clearance: Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. A TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance may be required to meet changing requirements.

Description/Duties: The CCR Technician I will successfully complete moderately complex assignments under the guidance of more senior teammates. Will apply knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for the particular area of specialization. Will provide operations and maintenance support to multiple tactical and land mobile radio systems including but not limited to the PRC-152, PRC-152A, PRC-117F, PRC-117G, DTCS-RO, XG-100M, XG-100P, XTS-5000, APX-3000, TK-5210/5310, TK-5710/5810, PYQ-10, KIK-30, KIK-20, and the KIK-13. Will provide operations and maintenance support on networking and communications equipment providers' (i.e. Harris, Exelis, Kenwood) equipment. Will perform communications surveys, new installations and preventative maintenance for vehicle and fixed site systems, COMSEC management, frequency management, training, and depot level repair for radios. Will develop and conduct training for U.S. Government personnel and private contractors regarding the proper use, care, maintenance and preventative maintenance of assigned systems.

Requirements/Qualifications: Must be able to obtain Department of State Class 1 Medical Clearance.

Must possess 2 years of technical experience in modern communications systems or a related field and be able to successfully demonstrate key responsibilities and knowledge; hands-on work experience with PRC-117F/G and PRC-152/A is a plus. Must demonstrate knowledge of COMSEC principles and requirements. Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory and principle and the effects of systems operating in an electronic countermeasures environment is a plus. Technical knowledge of RF Communications (VHF/UHF/SATCOM/Radio) and RF communication equipment that is compatible with CREW systems is a plus.

Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance at diplomatic facilities. OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
