Job Description

ECS Federal, LLC (ECS) is seeking a Scientist Engineer/Neurotechnology to work in our Arlington, VA office.

PLEASE NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract win.

Job Description:

The candidate will provide scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The candidate is requested to support the Biological Technologies Office. Highly qualified candidates would have appropriate technical understanding in the following areas: neurotechnology and recent brain-computer interface (BCI) approaches and limitations, cellular targeting, signal analysis, and nano and quantum approaches for BCI. Candidate must have a security clearance sufficient to allow unsupervised entrance and work within the DARPA facility. Occasional travel of up to week's duration away from DARPA HQ, Arlington, VA, may be required.

Required Skills:

* Candidate should hold a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the support of neurotechnology-related programs for the DoD, with the breadth of expertise to assess technologies across a broad range of applications.
* Exceptionally strong candidates would have appropriate technical understanding in the following areas: neurotechnology and recent brain-computer interface (BCI) approaches and limitations, cellular targeting, signal analysis, and nano and quantum approaches for BCI.
* Excellent organization, communication, and coordination are required.
* Must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks, such as briefing support and general administrative actions.
* Candidate must have a security clearance sufficient to allow unsupervised entrance and work within the DARPA facility.

Desired Skills:

* Previous experience in providing direct support to a DARPA Program Manager, in the development of a new start program, and in the subsequent support of the source selection process.
