ECS is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to work in our Stafford, VA office.

Job Description:

ECS is looking for a Configuration Management Specialist to support one of our Department of Defense customers. This position is based at the client site in Stafford, VA.

As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will be joining a team responsible for providing S Configuration Management support to the customer's mission. The individual will be responsible for maintaining central configuration control for the M-SHARP software and support materials. The Contractor will create, maintain, and update all programmatic and system specific documentation, configuration management plans, supporting documentation, and presentation material in support of M-SHARP project.

The individual will be responsible for all configuration management aspects of the project.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Support the development and maintenance of the Government's CM policy, plan, charters, processes and procedures.
* Develop Software Version Description (SVD)
* Review CM plans for compliance with Software Engineering Institute/Capability Maturity Model.
* Assist in monitoring configuration control and configuration status for conformance with the Military Handbook-Configuration Management Guidance.
* Provide configuration accounting in support of change management activities and facilitate/participate in applicable IPTs and Control Boards.
* Documentation of approved software changes, updates, patches and notification of software releases including the tracking of action items and capturing Software Change Requests for incorporation into the Software Change Configuration Board process.
* Review status and effectiveness of other PMO contract's change control system.
* Participate in audits of products and processes implemented by other PMO contracts; review, document, capture and publish minutes.
* Use the Government's CM tool to maintain a repository of, track, and report on Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Change Requests (CR), and baseline analysis.
* Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the CM effort.
* Support the Configuration Management Library:
* Maintain all applicable configuration baseline documentation
* Assist with the development and maintenance of the processes and procedures for CM library and assist with access controls availability.
* Maintain and record copies of all program documentation and contract deliverables.
* Maintain records of transmission and receipt of all Government Furnished Information (GFI).
* Maintain records of all product baselines and Configuration Items (CIs).

Required Skills:

* U.S. Citizenship, and an active DoD Secret clearance required.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, or information systems, or business administration or relevant technical field.
* Strong written and oral communications skills.
* 3+ years' Experience working as a Configuration Management specialist

Desired Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with leading teams of testers is desired but not require
