ECS is seeking a Senior IT Network/Security Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a Senior IT Network/Security Engineer to provide support to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities to potentially include:

* Providing project oversight and acting as the liaison between Network and IT Security/Cybersecurity vendors and the government.
* Directing, planning, coordinating, organizing, and managing multiple concurrent tasks/activities for a project.
* Providing technical leadership on complex and critical Network IT engineering systems and overseeing the development, procurements, build-out and installations, testing and implementation.
* Being involved with planning, requirements analysis, systems design, engineering, test and evaluation systems integration, conceptual design and implementation, construction, and general engineering.
* Overseeing execution of design and implementation of access control networked systems.
* Designing, developing, and evaluating complex network designs on state-of-the-art new and existing networks.
* Ensuring the integration of IT infrastructure and services; providing oversight to integration/interoperability and cybersecurity issues.
* Communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel and preparing and presenting briefings to senior management officials.
* Engaging with customers, stakeholders, and management to formalize requirements, prioritizing tasks, and aligning personnel and resources.
* Translating business requirements into a technology solution.

Required Skills:

* BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related Technical Discipline.
* Ten years Network experience, five years in complete engineering project life cycle; ability to provide guidance and direction in technical tasks.
* Five years' experience in IT Security/Cybersecurity engineering and operations compliance.
* Expert skill in applying network systems design, engineering, testing, installation, management, operations and maintenance concepts and methods to provide network services that support business requirements.
* Skill in applying IT Security/Cybersecurity network and systems design, engineering, testing, installation, management, operations and maintenance concepts and methods to provide secure services that support business requirements.
* Superior communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Demonstrated multi-tasking ability; analytical, problem solving, time management, and documentation skills.
* Experience in "designing and implementing cabling projects" discipline - experience with design and implementations of structured cabling systems including punch downs, configuration and testing of voice transmission facilities, and testing of cabling systems.
* Experience with traditional and VOIP systems design, implementations, support, monitoring, and security.
* Demonstrated experience in an IP-based enterprise network environment as a network engineer, architect, analyst, project manager and/or technical specialist.
* Demonstrated understanding of network architecture to include access, security and IP level engineering.
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent

Desired Skills:

* Prior experience supporting the TSA or another component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
* Technical writing experience and proficiency related to the technically related content of Government Acquisition activities, especially requirements content of Statements of Work, Sole Source/Brand Name Justifications, Market Research Reports as well as reviewing and validating Cost Estimates
* Having a thorough understanding of technical products and services to support procurement requirements and acquisition documentation
