Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Business Technology Analyst with project management and applications analysis experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

This role provides support to Wealth Management Digital Channel Managers/Product Owners in both a business analysis and user acceptance testing capacity. The core function of this role will be to document requirements by crafting user stories, act as the product owner proxy to represent the needs from the business to the core scrum teams, develop test plans and cases, execute user acceptance and production validation. The scope of this role is specific to client facing, digital applications for the Wealth Management business line. The role may focus on large (CapEx) projects, business-as-usual funded initiatives, small continuous improvement enhancements, monthly platform maintenance and/or production defect fixes.

Responsibilities

* Current knowledge of client facing digital applications, platforms and features


* Requirements analysis and user story creation


* User acceptance testing on digital platforms (web, iOS and Android)


* Testing (Quality) metrics reporting and analysis


* Experience with brokerage, trust and private banking ideal


* Proactive critical thinking and problem solving


* Strong Presentation? and documentation skills


* Effective communications with confidence to participate in scrum team meetings


* Knowledgeable and actively participates in agile development process


* Fosters collaboration and respect of others; team player


* Document business line requirements by way of user story creation to articulate business value and needs (VersionOne/JIRA)


* Craft clear and concise conditions of acceptance


* Drive refinement (grooming) sessions with Product Owner and core scrum team


* Ensure the business line regulation and compliance objectives are met through CAT (compliance) submissions


* Plan, estimate tasks and facilitate test execution


* Develop, document and conduct test cases, test scripts


* Document actual results in test environment and production


* Act as the primary point of contact for defects, managing defects, notifying the project team, and assigning appropriate severity.


* Support production validation testing efforts, results, and defect resolution which will require evening and weekend support



Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
* 10 or more years of experience in project management, and computer technology applications and analysis

Preferred Skills/Experience

* Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations
* Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology (PLM) and testing methodology/procedures
* Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results
* Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
