Business Systems Reporting Analyst

Job Description

Experian is seeking a Business Systems Reporting Analyst for a new position to interface between the TM1 Development Team with the business Power Users for the new TM1 implementation.

This role is needed to provide the business users with support for take up, translating data definitions, implementing change request, new business requirements, TM1 user training support and escalation routes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Become the new generation of "Business System Power Users" for the design, development, testing, and delivery of self-service infrastructure and business intelligence (BI) content including reports and dashboards to business professionals using the IBM TM1 toolset


* Develop best practices for solutions that help end users access and analyze data in the TM1 data warehouse


* Perform early stage analysis of reporting requests to formulate high level approach and estimates


* Analyze end user requirements to design report mock-ups specifications and production reports


* Assist business users with TM1 ad hoc reporting and troubleshooting post-production issues


* Articulate data sourcing and data model requirements to the Extract Transform Load (ETL) and database resources and collaborate on development


* Analyze report SQL and implement changes to optimize query performance


* Gather requirements from business users, communicate status updates, and coordinate user acceptance testing and issue management


* Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of BI reporting processes and standards



Skills and Behaviors:

* Proficient in all TM1 products, especially TM1 Perspectives and TM1 Web


* Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities


* Strong verbal and written communication skills


* Ability to work either independently or collaboratively in a team


* Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms


* Experience with more than one BI tool is a plus, such as (Power BI, Tableau etc.)



Education/Experience:

* Advanced knowledge and expertise with SQL and data warehousing concepts


* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field


* 3-5 years related work experience
