Job Summary

Zurich is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst at its North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL. This role will report to an Enterprise Data Manager in Enterprise Integration and Data Management Organization business unit.

The Business Systems Analyst partners with business stakeholders to determine business and user needs related to specific application requests. In collaboration with other technical and business resources, analyzes business and user needs, documenting requirements, and addressing existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Leads the analysis of business requirements, translates them into solution requirements, and ensures their implementation throughout the project life cycle. Understands and is able to apply different delivery approaches (Waterfall, SCRUM, Zurich Lean) and perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich Project Management Framework and the Zurich Risk Policy.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area

OR

* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area

AND

* Process reengineering, e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, Continuous improvement methodologies would be a Plus
* Process modeling tools
* Business Systems Integration

Preferred Qualifications:

* 5 or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in an operations support role or similar experience.
* Experience with eliciting and documenting requirements.
* Experience working throughout the SDLC.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and tailoring the approach based upon audience and message.
* Fluent in SQL query writing.
* Experience with relational databases.
* Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
