Position Description

The Business Solutions Engineer position is responsible for performing product evaluations on Konica Minolta and 3rd Party hardware/software solutions and provide assistance to Konica Minolta Product Marketing to ensure the successful launch of these new products into the various sales channels.

Essential Job Functions

Evaluate new products from Konica Minolta before they are introduced to the field and report findings to Konica Minolta Product Marketing. Maintain a test lab consisting of all equipment currently being sold in the field. Test 3rd party products and services to ensure they are working properly with Konica Minolta equipment. Maintain a product demo room and assist Product Marketing with all VIP presentations as required. Perform compatibility testing of 3rd party authentication devices and assist the various sales teams by evaluating sample customer authentication cards to ensure they are working properly with Konica Minolta and other supported 3rd party authentication devices.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Must have effective written and oral communication skills. Must be able to organize and clearly present a variety of technical information to a variety of audiences (including non-technical). Must have:

* Professional Experience with evaluating software applications running on Windows, Macintosh, Unix and Linux platforms.
* Professional Experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft Server 2008 or higher
* Professional Experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory.
* Professional Experience with configuring and maintaining Microsoft Internet Information Services
* Professional Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, or MySQL.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Project.
* Familiarity with administration of Virtual Machine environments.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

* Knowledge of configuring and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint.
* Knowledge of PC networking and Network Operating Systems is a plus
* Networking training or certification is a plus.
* Knowledge of Printer Description Languages (PCL/PostScript).

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or 5+ years of work related experience.
