Job Description

Copart is looking for a Business Intelligence Intern for our Copart offices located in Dallas,TX. This position will be reporting to the Manager of Reporting Services.

This internship is for the Summer2019 semester. Candidates must be able to work 40 hours per week to qualify.

This position will assist in duties including, but not limited to, the following:

* Design, develop, test and implement data warehouse and BI solutions and platforms including but not limited to real-time data pipeline, data visualizations, interactive reports and custom ad-hoc reporting
* Continuously develops and maintains an understanding of Business Intelligence technology, including ETL processing, reporting tools, and other methods of information delivery
* Develops batch, real-time and streaming analytics pipelines with data from event data streams, NoSQL and APIs and integrate report(s)/dashboard(s) into external applications.
* Continuously develops an understanding of supported business domains
* Analyze, understand, and document user needs to ensure accurate fulfillment of user story requests
* Conducts and may facilitate internal testing and user acceptance testing
* Other duties as assigned
* Must be a recent graduate or student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science / Statistics / Math's.
* One or two years of experience in any BI Tool preferred
* Proficiency in Programming languages (Java/JavaScript/Python/Ruby/bash/PowerShell), expertise in the database such as Teradata, MemSQL, MariaDB, MySQL and BI/Analytical tools like Tableau, Pentaho, OBIEE, Power BI, MSBI etc.
* Ability to work independently, research, and resolve questions and problem
* Proven problem-solving ability and a willingness to think outside-the-box
