Job Description

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. With the growth and expansion of our grocery business, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Analytics team supporting Amazon's deliveries from Whole Foods Market, working with data to help us uncover insights and drive reporting and automation for key metrics.

This position requires the ability to build tools and reporting structures needed to analyze data. Working with engineering teams and collaborating with key business stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to design and implement analyses which will drive an enhanced grocery experience for Amazon customers. We offer a customer focused, data driven and friendly work environment. BIEs at Amazon work directly with diverse teams including Product Managers, Data Engineers and other functions. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work on mathematical problems with a large element of unpredictability. You will analyze and process large amounts of data, improve existing approaches and develop new database implementations and data visualizations.

This is a highly visible role with direct, ongoing impact to Amazon's grocery business and our customer experience.

The successful candidate will:

* Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete BI solutions.
* Develop queries and Tableau visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
* Develop analytical tools and reporting across multiple functional areas.
* Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines, and review and audit existing ETL jobs and SQL queries.
* Partner with data and software engineering teams to drive scalable implementations.
