The Finance Technology team builds and operates the financial systems that support Amazon's growing complexity and massive transaction volume. Our systems move billions of dollars each month, close the books, bill our customers, calculate and file taxes in many countries, and more.

The Finance Technology risk management team is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall risk management of FinTech, including: providing and monitoring engineering security requirements; protection against cyberthreats; metrics and insights around the governance, use and change of finance technology; development and oversight of controls and risk management mechanisms; evaluation and monitoring of third parties used by FinTech.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer in FinTech, you will leverage data analysis and data mining tools to provide regular reporting and analysis to the Finance Technology team. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise related to data and analytics, providing intelligence to support risk mitigation projects and ensure our processes are efficient, standardized, automated and scalable.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and application development, data warehousing and interest in linking data to key business trends, excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and judgment, intense curiosity, and superior written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate is one who loves working directly with software developers to understand their needs, and design security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more effectively, securely and safely.
