Amazon seeks a seasoned business intelligence engineer within the WW Ops Robotics organization to partner with our product development and finance teams. WW Ops Robotics is responsible for the development of global automation to improve the safety and productivity of our FC operations. We design and develop robotic solutions that can be back-built into existing buildings and incorporated into the designs of next generation buildings bringing automation to packing, picking, stowing, and more. Worldwide Ops Robotics includes Amazon Robotics (AR), Advanced Technology (AT), and Robotics AI.

Do you have a track record of using data to influence decision makers? Do you enjoy retrieving and analyzing data, have a strong desire to understand the business end-to-end, and enjoy proactively diving into issues as they arise? Then this job is for you! The successful candidate will possess superb business judgment and be comfortable dealing with multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Being curious, detail oriented, and comfortable finding information and performing tasks that have never been done before will be the norm. Join us as we solve every day FC problems and make history in the exciting field of Robotics.

Responsibilities include:

As a member of the Robotics team, you will influence our three-year roadmap through analyzing existing business processes, quantifying project opportunities, and providing recommendations on project prioritization. You will also partner to create and provide real-time analytics by building dashboards and other reporting tools for leadership. You will be accountable for leading independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering, developing structured documentation and presenting findings to multiple levels of management. You will be expected to be a subject-matter-expert (SME) regarding Amazon's operations and supply chain, and provide business expertise and recommendations using data to product teams, finance and senior management.

* Develop a deep understanding of Amazon's operations and supply chain.
* Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation languages.
* Conduct analyses of strategic business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
* Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective Robotics strategies.
* Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities; build scalable solutions capable of being self-serviced by stakeholders.
* Improve back-end data sources for increased accuracy and simplicity.
* Collaborate with other business intelligence teams to design data architecture and implement data pipelines to automate manual solutions.
* Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
* Understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
* Collaborate with other business intelligence teams to design data architecture and implement data pipelines to automate manual solutions. Own AWS Redshift cluster, operational efficiencies, and overall architecture.
