The AWS Directed Work team is responsible for building the systems that automate and orchestrate the physical work processes that occur inside all of AWS' global datacenters. Our talented team of datacenter engineers depend on our systems to perform their work safely, securely, efficiently, and free of defects, resultant in finished products being ready for AWS customer-facing utilization. Our team is responsible for billions of dollars in capital and the ultimate success of our core cloud infrastructure business.
As AWS launches new offerings to our datacenters, the AWS Directed Work team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer who will help create these new product experiences for our customers. The Business Intelligence Engineer will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to build out infrastructure, data pipelines and reporting. The outputs of your work will inform key stakeholders and decision-makers. In this role, you'll design, execute and iterate on high visibility business intelligence for the teams of people that are actively building out capabilities. Many of the data points and pipelines that you will define will become key inputs into the continued optimization of key system features, such as work scheduling and prioritization.
You have to be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and passion for data; have a sense of humor and ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced and changing environment. It's a big ask, and we're excited to talk to those up to the challenge!
