Job Description

The WW Operations Human Resources team is seeking an experienced, curious, and resourceful Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to discover and showcase program insights and drive recommendations for how the business is run. As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer with our team, you will be working with a dynamic data warehousing environment. We are looking for someone with a keen ability to build efficient, flexible, and scalable data warehouse and analytic solutions enabling business leaders to identify risks and opportunities. The candidate should be enthusiastic about new technologies (AWS stack - redshift, quicksight, glue) and be able to implement solutions using these technologies to empower internal customers and scale the existing platform. You should be an expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low cost solutions to flow data from various systems into the data warehouse and into end-user facing reporting applications. Automation solutions may be assigned related to course catalog data maintenance, financial auditing and reporting, and contact management. You will also work on predictive analysis and hands off the wheel solutions to drive efficient program outcomes. He/she will also apply research and algorithms to drive desirable business outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Responsible for enhancing the quality and usability of data;
* Design, implement, and support data warehouse infrastructure using AWS (Redshift, Glue) technologies.
* Create instances and queries to take data from various operational systems and create a unified dimensional or star schema data model for analytics and reporting
* Use business intelligence and visualization software (e.g. Quicksight) to empower non-technical, internal customers to drive their own analytics and reporting
* Diagnose the most complex data and analysis problems; identify root issues and develop solutions that serve as models for future best practices.
* Influence consistent measurement of KPIs.
* Drive for results on complex projects, often without direct authority over resources.
* Influence leaders to make thoughtful data decisions to provide the most consistent and usable data for all teams across the company.
* Combine expert knowledge of statistical methodology and analysis with advanced programming skills to support complex analyses.
* Effectively balance scalability, performance, accuracy, and business needs in design decisions.
